The Djartanna class Destroyer was the mainstay of the Alpha Centauri space navy during the Romulan War, almost a thousand ships were built in total with 316 entering service with the Earth Starfleet.

Effectively a scaled up Zoenamy, the class was quick to build and highly manoeuvrable. Compared to contemporary Earth classes it was shorter ranged, which led to the odd situation of these ‘alien’ built vessels being used to defend colonies and the Terran system while the longer ranged Earth vessels performed fleet duties at longer ranges.
